Your Driver
Welcome, and thanks for riding with me! Here's a little bit about who I am.
I spent about 14 years serving in the U.S. Navy as a medic, taking care of the health and safety of the sailors and Marines I served alongside. I started out in the early 2000s and served all the way through the early 2010s, wrapping up my service in 2014.
Over those years, I served on a couple of Navy ships, where I was often the only medical provider on board — responsible for everything from basic first aid to handling real emergencies, with no doctor nearby to back me up. I deployed overseas multiple times, including to some tense, high-stakes areas, where part of my job involved boarding and searching other vessels for safety and security purposes.
Later in my career, I moved into more of a leadership and administrative role, running the day-to-day operations of a medical clinic and managing a team of over 20 people. I helped organize major budget and communication upgrades for that clinic, and even helped coordinate medical support for VIP visits from foreign heads of state. I also spent time stationed in Japan, where I helped coordinate supplies and support for large-scale disaster relief and humanitarian missions.
By the end of my service, I'd grown from a young medic straight out of training into someone trusted to run an entire clinic's operations — a mix of hands-on care and behind-the-scenes leadership that still shapes how I approach things today.
Since leaving the Navy, I've stayed close to that same spirit of taking care of people, just in a different uniform. These days, I'm working toward a career in healthcare administration here in Colorado, using the leadership and operations experience I built in the military.
In the meantime, you'll find me out on the road, driving for Lyft — and if you've hopped in my car, you're already part of that story. I've given well over 16,000 rides, and I genuinely enjoy the conversations, the local recommendations, and getting people where they need to go safely and on time.
When I'm not driving, I love to cook and am always experimenting with new recipes. I enjoy bold, spicy flavors, but I like my spice to enhance a dish rather than overpower it. I also keep a bird feeder at home and enjoy watching the wildlife that stops by.
Thanks again for riding with me — I hope you have a great trip, and don't hesitate to strike up a conversation if you're up for it!
